It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC UTA Arad. The stadium holds 7,287 people and was built in 1945 as a reduced scale replica of Arsenal Stadium. The stadium was opened on 1 September 1946 when took place the match between UTA Arad - Ciocanul București 1-0.
